Editorial Twenty-Three: Station Introspective

As 1999 winds up I thought we'd turn our critical eye upon the lady known as Toshi Station. After three+ years of active duty, let's review what we know about our favorite website:

The Good:

  • Mr. Fancy-pants with the Photoshop
  • Asinine content not likely to be found elsewhere
  • Plenty of Lando to go around
  • Sporadic (but regular) updates

The Bad:

  • Where is the E1 material?
  • Not enough Silky to suppress public's appetite for that which is Smoove

The Ugly:

  • There gonna be another Wookiee Theater flick or what?
  • Site layout hasn't changed in three years (never broke, so we never fixed it. Looks a little dated now though, eh?)
  • Sporadic (but regular) updates
  • I don't get it. (a common complaint)

At the end of the day, what does this humble web-dojo hope to achieve? Not sure ourselves. These days if your website ain't deliverin' some manner of SW news it is mightily hard to stay afloat in the SW community. Crankin' out the original goods isn't always easy (awww, the poor fella), which is why there are occasional dry-spells in the updating - if it isn't fun we don't do it. Over the years the focus has shifted from pure Star Wars to more of a SW+70's "culture" theme. Bruce Lee. Starsky and Hutch. A-Team. Shaft and the like. I'm suspecting that shift will continue on its aimless course...

What can you expect in the future? Classified info there, bubba. Lay one of those out on the griddle, you'll see three of them come mornin' (as they say).
