How about that Special Edition, huh? Chock full of new scenes and special effects. Yep, those scenes just heaped on new meaning to an old classic. Here is a prime example of some of changes the very observant will detect between the old and the new:
The original Dewback
(with Jawa-stompin' feet)
New CGI Dewback
(with mighty lame feet)

Something I wish we would've seen more of in the Trilogy is Ben Kenobi's light saber sensitive bathrobe. Sadly he left it at home when he jetted off to save the galaxy. Probably would have come in handy right around the time he meets up for the final time with a certain former pupil...

The cloak reappears immediately after Luke turns the light saber off. Coincidence? Nope.

Two screen captures of what I believe to be the fabled "potato asteroid" (on the left) and a shoe the ILM staffers slipped into the asteroid field, those kooks, (on the right). I scanned the other asteroid sequences to see if I could find any more secret hidden objects, but turned up zilch. The shoe, narrowly missing the Falcon, looks to be a Converse All-Star circa early eighties.
